The Centre’s Partnership with WKB Lawyers

On 15 April 2024, Advocate Agnieszka Wiercińska-Krużewska and Professor Konrad Osajda signed a partnership agreement between the University of Warsaw’s Centre for Family Business Law and the law firm WKB Lawyers. Thus, this law firm has become our centre’s first external partner.

As part of the cooperation, we plan to co-organise events thematically related to the law of family businesses and to enable the exchange of experience between academics and practitioners specialising in this field. WKB Lawyers intends to support the development of scientific research on business succession, foundation law or other issues related to Private Clients.

The agreement can be described as pioneering in the area of foundation law and family entrepreneurship in Poland. We hope it heralds the spread of a partnership cooperation model between representatives of practice and academic research units, as has already been taking place for years at the best American, English, or Canadian universities.
