Events

The Centre for Family Business Law organises a series of seminars entitled “Wealth Management: Private Foundations – Comparative Perspective.” These meetings have been held since 2023 as part of the research project “The Dead Hand. Private foundation as a multi-generational estate planning tool”, which is funded by the Polish National Science Centre and carried out at the University of Warsaw by members and associates of the Centre for Family Business Law.

So far, the series has included several seminars in English and one in Polish. The speakers have been eminent experts, both academics and legal practitioners, who deal with private foundations or similar legal instruments in their daily work:

  3. Prof. Christian Bochmann on private foundations in German law (6 March 2023),
  4. Prof. Martin Schauer on private foundations in Austrian law (21 March 2023),
  5. Dr Tomasz Klimek on practical experiences with private foundations in Austria and Liechtenstein (17 October 2023),
  6. Prof. Andrzej Kidyba on family foundations in Polish law (8 April 2024; the seminar held in Polish).

All seminars are free of charge and no prior reservation is required. The meetings take place on Zoom. Everyone can ask questions and participate in the discussion.
